(to be) Under (someone’s) Feet – This is an idiomatic adverbial phrase of manner used to describe someone (or pet) who is always “in the way” or causing distractions, complications, etc….  “Sometimes it is so nice to send the kids to Grandma’s house for a while.  They always seem to be *under my feet* whenever I have something important to do.”
