  • Lingo  —  This is a term for the type of words and phrases which are unique to specific fields, cultures, groups, etc..  By definition, this word means the same thing as the word Jargon.  But in common usage — Lingo is a bit more colloquial than Jargon — even though neither are “official” terms.
